- A detailed section by section account of the Act was given to telecommunications companies by a separate working group. The working group is continuing its work on a permanent basis as a law-interpreting forum. In the case of corporate subscribers, consultation sessions have been arranged and sessions are also planned for the future.
- Information-exchange channels have been formed among the authorities for the purposes of resolving issues of interpretation. |

37. A programme aimed at reducing problems caused by unsolicited e-mail will be developed. |

- The project assesses what can be done nationally and through international cooperation to reduce the adverse effects of harmful communications and malicious software. A consultancy report was commissioned in support of the working group’s activities, and the working group has prepared a long-term action plan. The subject is also currently being considered by the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority’s SIT working group and the Finnish Federation for Communications and Teleinformatics’ SPAM working group. Efforts are also being made to take into account the results obtained in other projects.

- A spam information pack on unsolicited e-mail will be published on its own dedicated web pages on October 15, 2005. The material is intended primarily for consumers, companies, direct marketing establishments, communications companies and public administration. |
